Una de las situaciones más incómodas que uno vive en su casa es la rotura de una tubería, o cuando colapsa uno de los centros pisos, la tubería del escusado o del fregador en la cocina. Eso implica que las aguas negras o servidas salgan de la tubería dañada y termine derramándose por el piso de la cocina o el baño.

Cuando ese tipo de situaciones pasan, normalmente en los momentos menos inesperados y en las horas menos comunes, lo que nos obliga a tratar de dar respuesta a la situación nosotros mismos, y eso implica el uso de chupones, de guayas y de materiales químicos como la soda cáustica o el ácido que venden en los mercados y ferreterías para destapar cañerías.

Y cuando no podemos resolver la situación, no nos queda otra cosa que llamar al plomero, que es algo que normalmente no queremos hacer, ya que nos cobra entre 20 y 35 dólares por realizar el destape de las tuberías de aguas negras con la máquina K-50 o la K-95.

Pero cuando no hay otra opción, solo queda llamarle, y solo nos queda ver cómo coloca la máquina y mete un mínimo de cinco cuerpos de guaya para lograr un destape óptimo de la cañería.

En fin, el problema con el tema del manejo de las aguas servidas es algo que en algún momento nos afecta a todos, pero lo que sí podemos hacer para evitar inconvenientes mayores es realizar cierto tipo de mantenimiento preventivo.

Yo aprendí eso por la recomendación de un vecino, que había tenido varios problemas con sus tuberías y, después de hacer el proceso de mantenimiento que él mismo se inventó, dejó de tener problemas con las aguas servidas.

Y es muy simple: él todos los viernes le echa una olla de agua caliente, recién hervida, a la tubería del fregadero y al centro del piso de la cocina, y una vez cada tres meses, echa un destapador de cañería y al día siguiente le pone el agua hervida.

Con ese simple proceso, él y ahora yo nos hemos evitado el bendito problema del colapso de las tuberías de aguas servidas.
