The Blamer - Zapfic 240

(edited)

Welcome to our weekly Zapfic 240 short story series. For this week, we'll be writing on the prompt: "shower."

The story I share with you is very much relatable. I hope you'll like it.

Kyle has a way of talking himself out of responsibilities. Whenever a deadline slipped or something else, he always has alibis. But luck ran out of him one day. Mid-excuse, his supervisor cut him off: β€œDon’t shower me with excuses. Fix it!”

People like Kyle are everywhere - at every work place - factories, malls, hospitals, schools, and even in our homes. They always have an excuse ready before you finish asking. Masters at shifting blames on others or situations. To them, taking accountability feels like losing, so they'd push it to the next person, rather than own it.

Honestly, working with such persons can be risky. You never know when they'll use you as an alibi.

Neither do I. They can't be trusted. πŸ˜‚

I like that his supervisor didn't cut him some slack since he is fond of making excuses.
