Hello Hive. 😃 I'm back again with another @drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "proclaim your love" taken from @daily.prompt's post.

It was a star-studded night with the crescent moon high up in the sky. Steve fidgeted for while, his eyes straying to his girlfriend of two years who gazed out at the lake. She didn't look happy or was it his imagination?
He summoned the courage to proclaim his love and propose to her. He started going on one knee when she spun on a heel and blurted, "Do you love me, Steve?"
Both their eyes widened in shock.
Steve smiled with relief. "I do. Very much. I love you, Rose. Will you marry me?"
Rose shrieked in excitement and hugged him.
