Hello Hive. 😃 I'm back again with another @drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "infinite cake shop" taken from @daily.prompt's post.
If you will like to write microfiction in 100 words, feel free to give this challenge a try.
It's an infinite cake shop. The door is ajar, sugary aroma of caramel and vanilla whisper in the atmosphere like a dream. Arabella's button nose bobs rapidly. She sniffs, twirling in excitement in the middle of the shop.
Glass shelves display rows of cakes adorned with frosting, enticing colours and sizes. Time stops when Arabella sees she's not alone.
A group of people traipsing around the shop, touching the crystal glass, marveling at the delightful creations. Some slowly munch spoonfuls of moist pieces, translucent wings appearing on their backs as they savour the sweetness.
Maybe this is heaven, Arabella thinks.
Thanks for reading!
This story has a bit of magic realism, and it is appropriate for this garden of baked delights :)
