Daily Prompt | The Avenue

I remember a kind of nightmare or déjà vu in which I found myself before an endless avenue that seemed to grow longer and longer as I crossed it.

As I was crossing, the traffic light was about to change color and I couldn't reach the other sidewalk.

I looked at the avenue and looked at the traffic light and the cars that were there with their engines purring, waiting for the green light.

Finally I woke up with a start, not knowing if that ever happened or if it was just a nightmare, but the truth is I never forgot it, though I also don't know if it was reality or just a bad dream.

La Avenida

Recuerdo una especie de pesadilla o dejà vu en la que me encontraba ante una avenida infinita que a medida que iba cruzandola parecía hacerce cada vez más larga.

Mientras iba cruzando, el semáforo estaba a punto de cambiar de color y yo no podía llegar a la otra acera.

Miraba la avenida y miraba el semáforo y los autos que estaban con los motores ronronentes esperando que les de la luz verde.
