Well, a scolding only a mother can give. I'm sure it left Jon speechless to discover his mother heard him acting like a chauvinist. An excellent scenario for the prompt. At some point in our lives, all spouses and mothers feel like they are being taken advantage of. I know I have. Now my grown children understand my angst.

I remember a TV series where a character was being relentless in politics, trying to take over and make changes that would negatively impact the city. He wouldn't listen to anyone until his friends reported him to his mother. 😄
