Let me breathe! I screamed to the myriads of thought flying through my head on the loads of activities I have to accomplish for the day. I had only woken up after sleeping in late for the other night due to the amount of work on my tab.
It’s like I woke up with a beehive of thoughts each gnawing at my beautiful soul. The list of work each flashing before my face as if to tell me which to pick first. They were in contention for my soul and my peace of mind.
How would I be able to sort through the day with this myriads of attention seekers? As if they were standing right before me, I had to let out that soul saving scream. Let me breathe, don’t suffocate me!
They all stood at attention and in what looked like a flash of light, each of them took flight into hiding. They knew they had awoken the madam of the house and needs to be wary else they would be left abandoned. Hahahaha.
The silence made me heave a great sigh of relieve as I dragged myself off to the bathroom. First things first. Prayers, devotion and all other morning routines to follow.
When I could think sanely, I took my note pad and began to write. When they saw that I was ready to listen to them, they started crawling out of their hiding places in my mind and began presenting themselves one by one as I wrote them down.
Each coming with a humble demeanor as if pleading to put them first. Well, am only human I muttered and can only do the much I can. I arranged them in the other of importance and then began to tackle one after the other.
I seem to see them jump in ecstasy one after the other as I settled each of them. They seem to smile as they made obeisance. I nodded in affirmative as I ticked them out one after the other.
At the end of the day, we were all happy and I let out a sigh of relive. I still remember that iconic scream “Let me breathe”, don’t suffocate me. It worked after all. Hahahah.
