NKPOR MARKET AND THE KILOMETRE THAT NEVER ENDED __23RD OCT

just one more kilometre.

This time it reminded me of when I followed my mum to Nkpor market. We carried big Ghana-must-go bag full of clothes to sell. We walked from one line to another.

My mum was tired, I was tired, but she kept saying "just one more kilometre, make we reach that woman shop, she go buy". We walked and walked. No sale.

I wanted to cry. My leg was shaking. But my mum didn't stop. She said if we stop now, the whole day waste.

That day I learnt something. Just one more kilometre is not about the road, it is about not letting tiredness win. Even when nobody is buying, even when your shop is not making sales, you still waka one more.

Now anytime life tired me, I remember that Nkpor market waka with my mum.

Just one more kilometre.
