Earlier today, the chess brothers came together to have fun and do what we know how to do best; play chess. Itβs been eleven weeks since we started the Saturday Hive Chess tournament and so far, things have been going well. Todayβs tournament didn't go so bad. Of course, we now have many strong players compared to previous seasons. Months ago, I used to be scared to get paired with higher-rated players. Sometimes I would even give up before the end of the game. But now? Now, things have gotten better. I'm now managing to play well against higher rated players. In todayβs tourney, I finished 9th with 24 points. I managed a draw against @stayoutoftherz and surprisingly, I won against Jaki. As usual, I'll review some of my games in this post.
Justfavour Vs Fiona
I checked my games with Fiona. We have played a total of 23 games with 20 wins to me and 3 to him. I had already decided that I would berserk lower-rated players. I knew I would get paired with high-rated players soon enough so I decided to utilize the golden opportunities well. In the beginning of the game, I blundered my queen. I was this close to pressing the resign button, but I just thought to play it till the end. RDcastβs queen was on the move and ready to devour my pieces. Luckily, I baited them and they swallowed it. I managed to get back in the game by capturing their queen. I enjoyed this game because I didn't give up.

Justfavour Vs Justola
Last week, I got paired against Justola. Not once but twice and interestingly, I won both games. Today, I managed to land another defeat. We both beserked our games, but I played better and I think I deserved the win.

Justfavour VS Jaki01

Before today, I had never won against Jaki. He had defeated me 8 times in the previous game, but today I pulled a number back. He would have won the game, but he missed a chance to promote to a queen in the end. There's not much to say about this game, you need to watch it to see how brilliant I played.
