Having it go up as we get say 3k, 6k, etc perhaps with the amounts increasing by a lot each time before the next level. Like it keeps getting harder to reach the next reputation level on Hive.

I am very seriously considering this idea. Adding a few more levels wouldn't hurt our inflation much and would give folks one more reason to hold and stake !LOLZ
