Hello Hello Hivians and welcome to this fun packed adventure Wednesday Walk
And that means sunshine with some warm sun streaming in through the windows (in this case bus windows).
I had to pop through to Dunfermline for some physio earlier in the month and this is the journey that ensued!
I take the bus from the bus station, so I walk there, it only takes about 20 minutes but is a pleasant stroll in the sunshine.
But what have we here?
It might have been a portal! But whatever it is, it's shut for now...
I have a bus to catch, so let's hotfoot it down the road...
They are gorgeous ... don't you think?
They really are all over the place here, we get the odd apple blossom trees which have white leaves but the cherry blossoms have these gorgeous pink blossoms!
It does feel like a portal, because in the blink of an eye, I have alighted the bus after an hour's journey.
Through these doors are where my therapy happens...
Although the whole point of going to this hospital is for the hydrotherapy pool.
And guess what ... yes the fluffing pool was closed again!!!
I wonder if it even exists ... that is twice I have been and yep twice it has been closed...
The fluffers!
Well I did grab a coffee before the bus back to Kirkcaldy...
Well I did have a drizzle of milk in it and it did the job.
One of the beauties about catching the bus and not driving, is that you can marvel at the scenery...
As you can see the trees are coming alive and sprouting their new clothes for this season!
Farms and Forests on a small scale. The fields of yellow are so pleasing on the eye, especially when contrasted with the blue and white skies.
Can you guess the name of this next village that we are passing through?
We have a few Gates in Fife, WindyGates is not far away either!
Having lived on a farm as a child I love the countryside and am always intruiged as to what is being farmed.
You can see that rapeseed is in full colour here.
One last cherry blossom tree before we hit Kirkcaldy bus station and this time it's in a cemetery...
Back into Kirkcaldy we are and now passing the Adam Smith theatre named after the economic legend that was Adam Smith who hailed from Kirkcaldy.
Strange things were being moved on the walk back home!!!
Even the ginger pussycat wanted to show me the detour!
So of course I followed ...
And this is what I saw...
The door was open!
All's well that ends well, after my physio I reckoned I deserved a treat ...
It was tasty!!!
I hope you enjoyed our little adventure!
This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay
Ginger cat and portals, aye strange things happening in town.
Nice to be outdoors after winter, sure the sun on the back makes you feel stronger. Longer days more to venture further afield now as well.

The daylight is wonderful, the sun yes that is a bonus, I can't believe we hit May already and still light at 9pm!
Love the cherry blossoms, and oddd seeing that door there,
I hope the therapy is helping i go again tomorrow
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Thanks Jay and I hope your therapy helps today.
Enjoy your day.
I was anticipating the portal. I thought you would bring us in another world😌😛
Ah yes I do like portals, and often find them in the woods to new worlds, I shall bring you next time 🤣
Cherry blossoms are fine but the hills and meadows are real beauty to me. I can imagine myself walking there. real beauty. And of course carrot cake, yes thank you. Sorry because closed pool.
The hills and meadows are sweet, we have the sea on one side and then move inland you have the farmland and plenty of hills and meadows, it is braw as we say to get out and about. The carrot cake was delicious, I really need to get off my arse and start making one!
Very nice place & beautiful flower view.I really enjoy this nature
Yeah nature rules and gives us some much to enjoy for free!
Wow, the cherry blossoms are beautiful. We are starting to get into lilac season here. Do you guys have those over there? When we were down in Ohio the other weekend everything was starting to show the signs of purple.
I think you should bring back the door so that you can use it as the portal to the hospital next time to check whether the pool is open or closed.
Lovely cheery blossom photos Ed
Oh using the portal to check whether the pool is open or closed is a brilliant idea Eka! I need to remember that for next time :)
The cherry blossom tree is nice.
Did you call that tiger a pussy cat? .....really?
Sorry about the closed pools
The tiger was a ginger pussy cat yes. We are British and often yes pussycat gets abbreviated to pussy.
You will often hear people when trying to call a cat, say here puss puss, or did you see that sweet black pussy two doors down!
Gotta to love language 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Love cherry blossoms- so pretty and makes the streets look beautiful. There are cherry blossoms here too but in high altitude places but not too common. Too bad the the pool was closed so you couldn't have your therapy then. Beautiful scenery with interesting contrasts of all those colors. You enjoyed the walk I guess. That carrot cake is delicious for sure!
Oh I do love walking as long as it is dry, rain for me should be at nighttime hehe!
The cherry blossoms are gorgeous and are all over the place here, it is interesting that you only seem to get them in high altitudes!
Any day is a good day when you can finish it off with a slice of yummy carrot cake :)
Cherry blossoms look awesome. They're always awesome. Those rolling fields are nice too... But I might not take that portal, you might not make it back! lol Leave a door there for what?
Hopefully the pool will actually be open one of these days... That is very frustrating to make the trip and the stupid pool is closed.
At least at the end you got some carrot cake and cream, that looked really good!
I don't know what that door was there for. But it is a strange piece of pavement as I have seen fridges left there before. It does make you wonder. The portal though, yes I only go through them if I know they are a two way venture!
Yeah the pool was a pain in the arse, but I quite like the physio I saw, she has got used to me, so I will keep seeing her and now that I am in the leisure centre at home I have got back into swimming and even aqua zumba so it is all good!
The carrot cake was fluffing tasty and in my head well deserved!
Seriously the pool was closed again? What a lack of respect and consideration for the patients!!!!! I think it's time to complain. ¡¡¡¡Having a trip in vain doesn't sound like any fun to me!!!! Although the walk served you well to see the cherry blossoms, the red cat and the door. ¡¡¡¡I think you passed the threshold without realizing it!!!! The world you see now is another one, one where you will no longer have pain and there will be sunshine, blue skies and triumphant Rangers. I send you a hug from this universe
