Hello Hivians, what a busy day for me it was. I was in Edinburgh and had no time to take any photographs. The fluffers expected me to work!
Actually I have to go back tomorrow as well, although I should have some time to take some photos, so expect an Edinburgh walk next week
In the meantime this is from this evening when I had to go get some bananas for Mrs T to knock up a batch of green smoothies.
I try to participate in the Wednesday Walk challenge most weeks. But this week I tried to participate in the spirit of the initiative...
In so far not just to post some pretty pictures but actually go on a walk with a purpose...
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
I have always said there is beauty all around us, sometimes we just have to look.
I love weeds, often they are pretty.
I love the fact that they don't give a fluff.
Oh I am not meant to grow there .... well fluff you, I am going to π€£
I do love garden walls with railings on.
Mind you in the second world war, they cut down many railings to used the iron.
Mind you Digitalis purpurea is gorgeous, foxglove is it's common name but it can be deadly, so don't fluffing eat it!
At this time of year you discover all the shades of green that there are. Throw in a bunch of reds, browns and burgundies and you get a free painting from nature!
Shop is round the corner!
I do love that church and its graveyard. They built up on a wee hill to give it some prominence.
I only came for two things!
No coconuts as per the title it was actually for some coconut oil scented toilet paper.
Two pounds for a pack of four. Good value actually I think!
We eat alot of these now, not only in the smoothies but as snacks.
So of course I pick them up almost daily!
At the counter to pay they have some discount items.
I usually get our orchids here when they are discounted.
None of those are discounted, however there is a cute orchid there that I shall keep my eye on. Once they discount them, I often pick one up.
I thought roses were on their way out. But I have seen more people planting them. Which is cool, I love them.
Talking of things making a comeback, I am seeing more and more hanging baskets being put up.
They are such a great way to brighten up your doorstep!
I hope you enjoyed our little adventure!
This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay

You always take such nice photos. I can always count on you for something colorful!
Hehe, I do like colour it has to be said, and thank you for those kind words π·
Anytime!
You certainly got enough photos in the end and fulfilled the Wednesday Walk brief. It's amazing how some pretty flowers thrive in the most unlikely places! It must be such a treat seeing all the summery colours everywhere.
Yes, what is it with puppies and toilet paper? We have it here as well.
The hanging baskets are gorgeous!
Nice Wednesday walk, Ed. Enjoy the rest of the weekπ€
Do you have hanging baskets at the BnB, they would look a treat, especially as you have so many exotic plants at your fingertips.
Ah so you get the puppies and toilet paper too lol.
Thanks Lizzie, yeah there are things to photograph everywhere really :)
Have a good one
A simple walk can let us see a lot of pretty things on the way no. The kind of walk that is chill, not walking too fast and just a slow pace walk. I do that too, except when it's too hot, huhu. And these plants and flowers looks really beautiful. I'm sure if they can talk, they are very much thankful coz someone actually notice them. Uwu.
hehe yes not too fast, it is nice to have a walk like that sometimes. Although I was told ... "where were you..I was about to send out a search party" from Mrs T when I got home π€£
Coconut-scented toilet paper? I haven't seen those here! But I would love to buy them. As for camburs, they are great for increasing potassium and gaining muscle mass. In Venezuela they exist all year round and are super cheap. Now I remember one of the first posts I commented to you where you bought a blue orchid. Now I know why blue. Little by little I am getting to know you, Ed. Wednesday hugs.
I loved that photo gallery. The top of the railing with the blurred background is very nice. I didn't know what you mentioned about the railings, that they were melted during the war. The truth is, wars are a great tragedy. Thanks for sharing, dear friend @tengolotodo. A big hug from Maracay.
πππ₯³ Congratulations π₯³ππ
