The deer 🦌 seeing a friendly moose must have felt safe. The park is really huge. Does is have a cycling path? Did you go alone?
You mentioned something that baffled me. It seems you live in the part of the earth where the plains are flat, because it's scary to say the day dims by 10pm. Here is my 7pm. You literally enjoy 3hours more of day light 😱😱

The parks aren't that big, but there are a few of them. Big enough to make a nice walk though.
Bicycling is forbidden in the parks by the way.
The long days are amazing indwed.
