My Tuesday Diary | An Average Day at Work | Chamber Story | Alive and Thriving on July 22, 2025

Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my Post. It's the alive and thriving report on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

In Oman, the patients have a strong affection for injections and intravenous fluids. Mostly Omani patients (and many expats as well) ask for injections and/or fluids. I don't know how this trend developed, but I was a bit surprised when I learned about this for the first time in 2016. They take one shot of injection and/or fluid in the clinic, and many of them don't even take oral medicine. If it doesn't get well, they go to another clinic and take another shot of injection and/or fluid! I think over 70-80% of the Omani Patients do this. They even force their kids to go for injections and/or fluids!!

Some expats learned that too. The workers group, after having lower back pain during work, come and take injections and return to their work. They don't want to take oral medicine only. They want something to work faster. A 6-year-old boy came with mild fever and throat pain. His uncle asked for a paracetamol injection, while oral syrup would be enough for him. These are good for clinic business :D

On Tuesday, I consulted 22 patients in my chamber. Hence, it was an average workday. There was no emergency case. I examined some people who came for the visa medical fitness test.

At home, I walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes. It helped me make 11,526 steps.

Okay. That's all for today. Alhamdulillah, I am alive, healthy, and thriving. How about you?
