RE: Who to Blame: The Inventors or the Users?

Hmmmm creation vs responsibility.
IS THE KNIFE A KILLER OR THE HAND HOLDING IT. This was the first question on my mind when I saw this topic. And obviously the hand holding it is the answer.

Everyday the world is developing. Creativity is progressing gradually. Powerful stuff is created by humans and technology is growing.
Things like machines, drugs, knives ,and networks.
All these are needed in our daily lives. But however, this same creation which is created for good purpose is used for destruction and causing harm.

The medicine that's supposed to heal becomes poisonous. And also people misusing technology.

I also don't agree that the inventors should be blamed. A knife does not choose to be a murderer nor did a gun. But the human holding it decided on how to control it. Either by using it for good or bad.

If we blame the creators due to the abuse of their creations. Then i think we are trying to stop humanity from growing.
Or should we also blame the car manufacturers too for the cause of accidents.
There are guidelines to these inventions that people are careless about.
I have seen a lot of people ignore the traffic lights and try to bypass the securities. Endangering their lives because they choose to ignore the rules. And if an accident occur who should we blame? Of course the user.

✍️✍️✍️ This is my take and I so much love the topic.

Wow! Wonderful take. I should just copy this and add it to the post.😁😅

I like how you cited several distinct examples of many of the reasons why this is not the fault of the inventors, but the users due to their misuse and abuse of such. One example you made caught my attention, because a post somewhere made an example with it in a similar discourse.

Or should we also blame the car manufacturers too for the cause of accidents.

I vehemently agree with you. The only place I could consider this matter otherwise is when the invention, particularly, is harmful in some way. Then, the users cannot be entirely at fault, though they'll share in it. But overall, considering the subject of the discourse closely, it's the users who engage in wrong use that should be blamed for the abuse, and eventually, the effects that come along.

Thank you for this wonderful one.

I agree with you. They both can only share the blame when the inventor is careless.
