RE: AUDITIONING TO BE A MENTOR

It’s funny how before now, I never really had deep thoughts about the fact that we all are role models to certain people regardless of whether or not we want such a responsibility. Thank you for that insight.

It makes sense now that people who think we have multiple characters worth emulating will naturally look up to us, sometimes without saying it. However, I like to believe that many people don't necessarily care for a mentor. I dare say many are not ready to be mentored directly by someone as much as they like their freewill not restricted by certain laid rules. That’s why many people do waste mentorship opportunities , especially when it comes to personal growth.

Your approach to scrutinizing their background and behaviour first is wise. Personally not sure I would be open to mentoring anyone anytime soon, but I guess the future might have something for me. Lol. Lovely post!

You’re very right when you said many people don’t really care to have a mentor. It’s something we only care for when life either gets serious at some point or we start seeing the importance of mentorship.

Being a mentee feels lighter than being a mentor, I’d prefer to be a mentee but it will be a privilege to be a mentor.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! 🌹
