If i have the power to bring anything back to life, whether living or nonliving, I wouldn't bring back an animal.....
I wouldn't bring back an old phone or a trend.
I would bring back my identical twin sister.
Her name was Chikasiemobi.
They gave birth to us on February 7th.
She left us on October 14th.
Pneumonia took her when we were just 8 months old.
I didn't know for a long time.
Growing up, I just knew I had extra clothes. Clothes with two different patterns but same size.
My mom would say "this one was for you, this one was for..." and she would stop.
I thought it was because she bought too much.
I found out when I was about 9.
I saw an old photo. Two babies, looking exactly like each other, tied on my mother's back.
One was me. The other had my face.
"That is your twin sister," my aunty said quietly. "Chikasiemobi."
Chikasiemobi. It means "God console's my heart"
That name broke something in me.
Because since then, life has been like wearing one shoe.
You can walk. But something always feels off.
I see twins in school, in the market, on TikTok.
Dancing together. Fighting over food. Finishing each other's sentences.
Wearing the same clothes and calling it "twinning".
And I smile. But inside I think:
"That was supposed to be me."

I try to imagine her.
Would we have the same laugh?
Would she be taller or shorter?
Would she be the noisy one and me the quiet one?lol
Would she be the one who understands me without me talking?...
My mother still keeps her things.
Two small socks. One wrapper. A plastic bangle.
She says she couldn't throw them away...yeah she's still feels her.
Sometimes I wear the clothes that were meant for both of us.
It feels like I'm carrying her with me.I still imagine alot how we could have matched the outfit together
People say "you are enough." And I am grateful. I am alive.
But there's a kind of loneliness that comes from being born as two and living as one especially when i see other twins.
It's not sadness every day. It's just... a missing piece.
If I could bring Chikasiemobi back, I wouldn't ask her to fix my life.
I would just want to know her.How she talks, Is she talking like me? How she behaves and all that...
I want to argue with her over who ate the last piece of meat....
I want to braid her hair and let her braid mine...
I want to walk with her to church on Sundays and have people say "see the twins." yeah 🥹
I want to grow old with someone who has my exact face and knows my exact story, with Someone i have spend years of my life with.
I know I can'... Death doesn't return calls.
But the question "who would you bring back" made me remember her again.
And maybe that's the point.
We don't always get back what we lost.
But we get to keep their name alive.
We get to tell their story.
We get to live in a way that honors the time we didn't get.
So today I’m saying her name: Chikasiemobi.
She the sister I never met,I have just hear about her existence but haven't seen her,but have missed my whole life and have whished i could see her.lol buh they use to tell me if i see my self i have seen her but is not even making sense to me because we might be identical twins but her our personality will differ so yeah i want to know my sister too❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹.
Nevertheless my uncle's and aunties still call me "EJIMA"(TWIN) lol
If you could bring one person back, who would it be?
And what’s the first thing you’d do with them?Let talk in the comment👇👇
