Is Housing still Affordable?

Hello my hive learners family. It's been a long while I dropped something here been busy with life's up and down.

Thankfully the administration team have been very busy and I can pen down my take on today's topic.

In our present country do we really have affordable housing? To me I will say no. From my little experience ones any little development is done to a particular area the rentage of those places change especially now that we see gated estates in every corner. As long as the place is gated expect the rent to be high, no service charge for some because they don't provide 24hr power but in some that do the service charge runs up to like 200k a month or more.

Those running short stays aren't left out. Their fee changes by the festivities and the rush it brings.
I'm talking from the stand point of life in Lagos.
Lagos housing aren't affordable be it a room self contained or 2 rooms especially if it has running water and located in an estate well in Lagos now almost all houses are located in an estate now for security purposes and it's the main thing now.
What I feel one should look out for when house searching are the following

1. Make sure the house isn't located in a water log area.
2. The roof isn't leaking
3. If on the ground floor look out for water gathering area
4. Also look out for water gathering on the street to the house
5. Another thing you should look out for us the house itself ask around about the house and what's it like and if there are other tenants ask as well.

I feel the above is what one should look out for and be safe when renting.
