Problems of the Global Economy

The global economic situation is not good, because we are facing a possible systemic crisis, and one of the main indicators that we are in a bad moment is the price of gold. Historically, a surge in the price of gold means that people/investors are preparing for a crisis by putting their money into one of the most historically resilient assets. Recently, the price of gold surpassed $5,000. Not long ago, we were talking about gold reaching the $4,000 mark, and now it has already risen by $1,000. In six months, the price of this asset has increased by 55.26%. This is not normal and indicates a high demand for the safety of gold.

This large rise in the dollar price of gold may indicate that the American currency is losing its purchasing power. Furthermore, the complicated situation of the Japanese economy may put even more pressure on the dollar's price. Japan's interest rate, which remained close to 0% for years, is rising rapidly, and to stabilize the economy, they may end up bringing liquidity back into the country by selling US government bonds, causing interest rates to rise so that other countries invest, and in this way, all rates will end up rising, generating a spiral.

Why learning about Crypto might be the solution?

In this scenario where countries' fiat currencies lose purchasing power due to inflation generated by the massive printing of money by central banks, learning about Crypto could be a possible solution. But why couldn't gold be a solution to this inflationary system? Certainly, gold could be used to avoid current economic problems, but it has several problems for everyday use. The first issue is that it's not viable for people to pay for the items they consume with gold; furthermore, it's very difficult to guarantee the authenticity and purity of gold without some kind of tool.

These problems of inflation and usage can be solved with blockchain and crypto technology. Some cryptocurrencies, like gold, can be one way to protect against this problem of not having anywhere to keep money without losing value. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have a limit on the amount of issuance, ensuring that the financial subsystem of that blockchain, which would be based on that currency, does not suffer from inflation. Also, due to the loss of wallets, the opposite can happen: there is no more supply and demand continues to grow, leading to the use of fractions, which in the case of Bitcoin are satoshis.

Therefore, it's important that future generations begin to learn about the basic concepts of decentralization, blockchain, and immutability, and gradually start practicing self-custody so they learn to manage their money. This is because it's not common practice, as there's usually an institution or intermediary involved, and in the case of crypto and blockchain, transactions are typically user-to-user or user-to-system, meaning they originate from the user, which increases the risk of human error. Therefore, starting small, learning, getting used to it, and preparing are crucial, because in an economy with constant inflation, assets that go against this system "can" be a solution.

Problemas da Economia Global

A situação da economia global não está bom, porque estamos com uma possivel crise sistemática à frente e um dos principais indicadores de que estamos em um momento ruim é preco do ouro. Historicamente a disparada do preço do ouro significa que as pessoas/investidores estão se preparando para uma crise colocando o seu dinheiro em um dos ativos mais historicamente resiliente. Recentemente o preço do ouro passou os 5000 dólares, há não muito tempo estávamos falando sobre o ouro ter alcançando a marca dos 4 mil dólares e agora ele já subiu 1000 dólares, em 6 meses o aumento no preço desse ativo foi de 55,26%. Isso não é normal e indica a grande procura das pessoas pela segurança do ouro.

Essa grande subida no preço em dólares do ouro, pode nos indicar que a moeda americana estar perdendo seu valor de compra. Além disso, a situação complicada da economia Japonesa pode pressionar ainda mais o preço do dólar. A taxa de juros do Japão que ficou por anos próxima de 0%, está subindo rapidamente, e para conseguir estabilizar a economia eles podem acabar trazendo liquidez de volta para o país, vendendo os títulos do governo americano, fazendo com que as taxas de juros aumentem para que outros países invistam e nisso todas as taxas vão acabar subindo, gerando uma espiral.

Porque aprender sobre Crypto pode ser a solução?

Nesse cenário em que as moedas fiduciárias dos países perdem poder de compra, por conta da inflação gerada pela impressão massiva de dinheiro pelos bancos centrais, aprender sobre Crypto pode ser uma possível solução. Mas porque o ouro não poderia ser uma solução para esse sistema inflacionário? Certamente poderia utilizar o ouro para evitar os probelmas economicos atuais, só que ele possui diversos problemas para o uso no dia a dia. O primeiro é que não é viavel as pessoas pagarem os itens que consomem com ouro, além disso é bem dificil de você garantir a veracidade e pureza do ouro sem alguma ferramenta.

Esses problemas de inflação e de utilização podem ser solucionados com a tecnologia blockchain e crypto. Algumas cryptomoedas, assim como o ouro, podem ser um dos caminhos para se proteger contra esse problema de não ter onde manter o dinheiro sem perder o valor. Cryptos como o bitcoin que tem um limite na quantidade de emição, garantindo com que o sub sistema financeiro daquela blockchain, que se baseria nessa moeda, não sofra com a inflação. Ainda, por conta da perda de carteiras, pode acontecer o oposto, que é não ter mais oferta e a demanda continuar crescente, fazendo com que se inicie o uso das fações, que no caso do btc são os satoshis.

Por isso, é importante com que as proximas geracões comecem a aprender sobre os conceitos basicos do que é descentalização, blockchain, imutabilidade e comecem a praticar aos poucos a auto custodia para que aprendam a gerenciar o seu dinheiro, porque isso não é algo comum já que normalmente há uma instituição ou intermediário e no caso de crypto e blockchain, as transações costumam ser de usuário para usuário ou usuário sistema, ou seja, partindo do usuário, o que dá um risco maior para o erro humano. Por isso, começar com pouco, aprender, se acostumar e já se preparar, porque em uma economia de constante inflação, ativos que vão contra esses sistema "podem" ser uma solução.
