Who hasn't watched a reality TV show as a child and thought that what was happening was reality? When we don't have access to information, we can't know that the program went through revisions, edits, and changes before airing on TV. Understanding these factors leads us to the second question: Should we really watch this type of program? In the end, the choice is up to each person, knowing that the program is more entertainment than reality.

Reality TV Shows are Entertainment!
Reality TV shows generally aim to entertain the audience. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to discuss the issue of them being banned, since their lack of realistic portrayal is expected of these programs. Ultimately, reality TV shows, despite their attempts to portray people's lives in various situations, have a predetermined script, edited to remove parts and leave only what they want you to see, and it's quite possible they influence the presented situations.
I believe the only change that could be implemented in these programs would be some kind of reminder at the beginning and end, informing viewers that the presented situations were edited, took place in a controlled environment, or not. This way, people who might think the situation is real will be informed that it isn't and won't try to copy it or believe it was all real. In this way, the program can be presented to a larger audience without major problems.
The choice of what to watch is YOURS!
The real question shouldn't be whether to ban them or not, but whether to watch them or not? Reality shows, most of the time, don't reflect real-life situations, so if someone is watching them looking to learn something new, or aims to improve their life, well, know that this isn't going to happen.
For everyone, regardless of region, nationality, or ethnicity, the day will always have 24 hours, 1440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds. Furthermore, we all have a limited time in this life that varies from country to country, but not so much from the life expectancy of your region. Therefore, just like in the movie Matrix, where Neo is offered the choice between the blue pill or the red pill, the choice of what you watch is YOURS!
If you're looking for quick entertainment to pass the time, reality shows can be useful. However, know that every choice implies a renunciation; that is, do you really want to spend your limited time watching a reality show that portrays life in a "false" way? Always ask yourself if that's what you would really like to be doing, because if you enjoy other types of entertainment more, invest your time in what will satisfy you most.
Beyond the entertainment aspect, since these programs add almost nothing to people's lives, another option is to dedicate your time to some extra-income activity, write an article, think about a new project, or pursue a new hobby. Just be careful with extremes, because we all need rest time to recover.
Quem nunca assistiu um programa de reality show na TV quando era pequeno e achava que o que estava acontecendo ali era a realidade? Quando não temos acesso à informação, não temos como saber que aquele programa passou por revisões, edições e mudanças antes de sair na TV. O programas de reality shows que passam na TV geralmente tem o propósito de entreter a audiência que está assistindo. Por isso, não faz sentido abordar a questão deles serem banidos, já que eles não retratarem a realidade é algo esperado desses programas. Afinal, os programas de reality show por mais que eles tentem mostrar a vida de pessoas em situações variadas, eles tem um certo roteiro montado do que será mostrado, tem edição que retira diversas partes para deixar só o que eles querem que você veja e é bem possível que eles influenciem a situação apresentada.
Acredito que única mudança que poderia ser implementada nesses programas seria algum tipo de lembrete no início e no fim dos programas, lembrando os espectadores de que as situações apresentadas sofreram edições, estavam em um ambiente controlado ou não. Assim, as pessoas que poderiam achar que aquele situação é verdadeira terão a informação apresentada de que não é e não vão tentar copiar ou acreditar que tudo foi real. Dessa forma, o programa pode ser apresentado para um público maior sem grandes problemas.
A Escolha do que assistir é SUA!
A real questão não deveri ser baní-lo ou não, deveria ser assistí-los ou não? Os programas de Reality Show na grande maioria das vezes, não refletem situações da vida real, então se a pessoa está assistindo eles buscando aprender algo novo, ou tem o objetivo de melhorar a sua vida, bom saiba que isso não vai acontecer.
Para todas as pessoas, independente de região, nacionalidade ou etnia, o dia sempre vai ter 24 horas, 1440 minutos, ou 86.400 segundos. Além disso, todos temos um tempo limitado nessa vida que varia de país para país, mas que não varia tanto da espectativida de vida da sua região. Por isso, igual no filme matrix, em que Neo é oferecido a escolha entre a pílula azul ou a pílula vermelha, a escolha do que você vai assistir é SUA!
Se está procurando por um entretenimento rápido para passar o tempo, os programas de reality podem ser úteis. Entretanto, saiba que toda escolha implica uma renúncia, ou seja, você realmente quer gastar o seu limitado tempo vendo um programa de reality que retrata a vida de forma “falsa”. É sempre se perguntar se aquilo é o que gostaria realmente de estar fazendo, porque se você gosta de outro entretenimento mais, invista o seu tempo no que mais vai te satisfazer.
Além da questão do entretenimento, como esses programas não agregam em quase nada na vida das pessoas, uma outra opção é aplicar o seu tempo em alguma atividade de renda extra, escrever um artigo, pensar em um novo projeto, aplicar seu tempo em um novo hobbie. Apenas cuidado com os extremos, porque todos precisamos de um tempo de descanso para recuperar.
