You definitly have some offline skills that would be worth while excersising in the offline world even while the internet still precists. I of course value the internet as a place where everyone can have an easy entry to start publishing content of any form. This process was easier before when the internet still wasnt taken over by big tech like Alphabet (Google) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram etc.). I am a big advocat for personal blogs, self-hosted solutions and going back to a more personal, federated internet.
But that aside: Print-media still plays a very essential role in this world - and I'm glad it does.
While some might say it isn't that hard to just take 50 bucks to hand and print 1,000 small magazines with it, i of course aknowledge it is fairly hard to get into the print-media market without investors money backing the project up. But as you already mentioned with the idea of writing a book: Todays print-on-demand as offered by amazon makes it fairly easy to get into book-publishing for example. Also there are plenty of physical daily or weekly newspapers available in every corner of this planet - get into writing for an already existing newspaper or magazine.
Writing quality-original-content is a very valuable skill that we should be using in any place possible!
Indeed writing is a skill and It can be a way to make money. Even without publishing book there are several ways to make it useful and you already mentioned some of those.
Thank you for reading with patience and for sharing your thoughts.
