Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "A Scary Animal," so let's dive into it. We all know that some domestic animals are scary, not to mention about wild animals.
This topic made me remember the day I carried a snake mistakenly. That time it was the year 2022 during December time when everyone came home to celebrate Christmas and New Year. So that faithful day we were told to go and look for firewood to cook because we were much and we couldn't use gas to cook food every day, so they divided us into two some were at home doing household chores and using the remaining firewood to cook while others were told to go to the forest to look for firewood, fortunately, I was among those who were going to the forest, as we're going we saw some firewood in the bush so we branch there and started cutting it into pieces so that it will contain us because we were seven in numbers, so the males among us were cutting it into pieces while we females were arranging and taking it where we dropped our rope that we will use to tie our firewood, unknowingly to me that the firewood I was carrying a snake was among the firewood. I felt that something was moving around my hands but I ignored it thinking it was a grasshopper that was moving around my hands the next thing I heard hissing sounds.
I asked one of my cousins who was carrying firewood with me what was the reason why she was hissing but she said she didn't hiss, to my horror the snake got a chance and poked its head from the firewood and was staring at me, I was so scared that I screamed and threw the firewood away, my brother and remaining cousins heard my scream and rushed to my place saying what was the reason why I was screaming, and I explained everything to them they saw the snake running away so they pursued the snake and managed to killed it, I was scared to even carry the firewood and put on my head thinking maybe another snake is inside it, but after cross-checking and I found nothing I carried it and we went home, after gotten home they explained to our remaining family some were showing concern for me while some were making jest of me that am being lazy.
My encounter with the snakes scared me because I was thinking, What if the snake had bitten me and poison ran to my body system? What would have happened to me? But I thanked God he didn't.
Also, that wasn't the only scary animal encounter, it made me remember the day I washed my clothes and spread them on the block cause one of my neighbours washed her clothes and spread them on the rope and there was no space so I didn't have a choice but to spread them on the block, in the evening when I saw my clothes are dry and I wanted to pick them from the block unknowingly a scorpion was inside my clothes, the next thing the scorpion stung me on my left hand that I have to drop my clothes on the ground and scream because of the pain and one of my neighbours that were outside that heard my voice came and killed the scorpion and look for a small handkerchief and tie it on my hand so that the venom won't spread to my body, and they put a stone on the stove so that it will be hot and put it on my hand so that the hotness of the stone will stop the venom from spreading. All these scary animals scared me a lot cause they were dangerous and terrified someone.
This is my entry for Hive Learners Featured Content Week 122 Edition 3.
Thanks for reading❤❤❤❤❤.
Snakes can be very dangerous at times but you see scorpions those creatures are more dangerous and unpredictable. It is hard to notice a scorpion sometimes and when it comes to scorpion the size doesn't matter. I'm glad you had people to attend to you, I never wish to have any form of encounter with a Scorpion.
Yeah, snakes are very day and also scorpions are unpredictable, I didn't know a scorpion was inside my clothes cause those creatures are so small that someone won't even notice them, but thank God the venom didn't spread to my body.
Yeah, you were very lucky indeed.
Oh God, I am very scared to hear that you had to face such a snake and scorpion. Both snakes and scorpions are such creatures that are not visible at all and I have also encountered such creatures many times. To be cautious of such creatures, I clean the fields around my house and go out as little as possible during the rainy season because this is the time when there is more wild grass and such creatures get a chance to make their home.
Both snakes and scorpions are very scarring animals, I also noticed that snakes love where there are many bushes to hide or stay where people won't notice them than a place where people will notice them. Even both snakes and scorpions are creatures that are not visible, if someone is in the bush and the snake is beside that person the person won't know until the snake makes his or her hiss sounds before the person will notice that the snake is beside him/her.
Jeez! This is scary!
You were even very brave to have still carried the firewood again. Me, I would not. I would literally be shaking all the way home.
Yeah, I was scared at first to carry it but when I saw that there was nothing in the firewood again I didn't have a choice but to carry it.
