My oh my. This sure looks tasty, really. I'm a big fan of vanilla, yes. But it's the whole process of making the pie I love. I guess what makes it even more special is that it's made with love, and there is a history with it.
I wondered how it was brown, until I saw it was brown sugar. I thought it was burned or something and that's part of the recipe.
This is yummy, Momo. It does make me want to try. Maybe I will!
Aww pleaae try it. The will be more or less caramelised depending on your own as well. I have seen a bit less brown as well - just do not let it burn. :-) The pastry making is fun. I have made it this way since I was a child but you can use a food processor. However with your finger in flour and sugar it is fun and you can create an even nicer crumble by incorporating as much air as possible in the dough. However the cold ingredients is the best option. Please try it and have fun making it. The outcome is delicious indeed.
I think it is more interesting and fun if one uses their hands.
