Indeed character is a choice. It is not bound to any tribes or culture. But I think it's better to stay alert on certain character exist in a specific tribes or culture because culture has influences on people. You can't deny that also.

Yes culture and religion can influence you, but not everyone will be influenced... some will fall for it while others won't... this is where you character have a role to play...
