I know that smartphones have many use cases and it's an essential devices but if we use it while we are spending time with family members, it can be distracting. I don't like it and I feel smartphone should be banned is such a time.

baat to sahe hai bhai, we should make balance between our family and our work (mostly on mobile 😅 ). Yes at least for a few hours phones should be banned.
