My Take On Surrogacy

This is a trending topic in our world today; there are lots of factors that have made people look to this particular way of childbearing more than the original method we know of of time immemorial. Surrogacy has to do with the involvement of a female in order to have a child for a person or a couple. The term surrogacy has different variances in our world today; there is one that involves the female who has given herself for the process to donate her egg, and the man brings a sperm for the process.

The other has to do with the couple donating the egg and the sperm for the process. The first I spoke about, the female is the biological mother of the baby, while the other, she isn't the biological mother, which makes her less emotionally attached to her.People slide to this practice for several reasons; this time, many ladies are so particular about how they look and their shapes and more, so many women don't want any process that will alter their appearance or inconvenience them.

Truth be told, the process of pregnancy is not a small journey because it requires a lot, which many women in this age are not even ready for at all. Some couples go for the option of surrogacy because they have tried on their own to have a baby, and it's not working, so for them, for reasons that I know they have verified from the hospital.In any which way we may look at it, I don't support the place of surrogacy; just as we talk about IVF, this process is somehow more calling than the one we are currently handling.

This process is not what I will like to see myself get involved with because it is against my faith, and I don't wish to do something that is not okay by me. Imagine that people have gone so far as to use this method to make much money for themselves; some ladies are camped and are used as baby-making machines. Some ritualists get to buy these babies and use them for their selfish reasons.

There are special homes I have heard of in developed cities where you go and buy these innocent kids. In fact, years back there was an incident of a woman who lost her life as she was on her way from Lagos to a state in the Eastern region to carry a lady that she arranged a lady to bear for her. Some ladies just make lots of money from selling babies to people.This method of childbearing should be condemned because it has brought more harm than good to society.

The traditional way of having children still remains the best that everyone should embrace, no matter what, or better still, anyone can stroll into the orphanage homes to adopt children for themselves than going for a surrogate. I also feel that many women end up losing their home as a result of this process, so why do I have to support a method that brings more pain to the home than joy?
