Creative Sunday | DIY Knot Headband

We ladies have that day when we don't feel like making our hair and just want it to be in a bun but what if you have short hair like mine that can't easily be packed in a bun, what do you do then to keep your hair in place and still maintain a stylish look, using a hairband becomes helpful in this instance.

In today's creative Sunday post, I will be sharing with you how I made my knot hairband, giving my hair the much-needed break, the good thing is it's not just meant for short hairs ladies, it is even finer when used on a longer hair, or when on braids, without further ado, let's get right into the making process.

**Cutting And Sewing process

  • I started by cutting the hair band pattern of about 21 inches in length and 8.5 inches in width.

Note that it's important to use an elastic fabric so that it can stretch to fit your head or hairstyle, and if you have a smaller round head measurement, you can reduce the length a bit.

  • Next, I folded the pattern in half and sewed it, now placing it, so that the sewed area faces me,

  • I placed both sewed edges, halfway on each other,

*Then place one end on the fold to meet the half point and repeat the same on the other end, here we are trying to form the knot,

  • Holding it in place, you can use a pin at this point so the edges don't pull off I sewed it down, then opened it up, and the knot headband is ready.

So simple and easy to make, you don't have to spend money to get this beautiful knot headband when you can make them in different colors for yourself, you don't even need much fabric to make it.
