THE CONDITION OF EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN MY COUNTRY.

Special greetings to everyone especially the management for their unwavering support and consistency in delivering prompt that creates opportunities for some of us to share our perspective about things and perhaps add value to a life out there.

Education is the bedrock of any society. Any country or society that doesn't have good educational system is like a country without root. Education is one of the vital organs that no individual should attempt to play with but in our present world reverse is the case. Educational system in my country now is a thing that makes me to lament a lot. Before I proceed with the writing, let me acknowledge the management for bringing this topic. As if they knew the exact thing happening in my country now.

There is a clear variance between the standard of education few decades ago and what is presently playing out. I had the privilege to finished my secondary school education in the year 2004. I wrote the exams by myself without the aid of anyone. School was very good and a place where students are well impacted with the reasonable knowledge. It was such a time that teachers had time for us and taught us everything we needed to scale through our West Africa Examination Council. During that time, lessons were organized to get us prepared and some of us took a decision never to compromise our standards. Teachers were committed and devoted to teaching. Students don't play truancy and parents endeavor to pay their Ward's school fees. Most instructional materials were available to aid our learning.

Reflecting through the aisles of time, I noticed a serious decline. The government policies has grossly affected the quality of education we have. The government isn't fixed in maintaining a particular strategy for a while before adopting another one instead they change a lot of things anyhow without considering the recipient. Some of the infrastructure were dilapidated. No seat for students to sit. The educational system in my country is at the state of comatose if nothing is done to salvage the whole situation in the next few years to come hmmm there is great trouble.

The educational system in my country is dieing. Staff benefits are not properly paid and many have not been promoted after a long time of service. There is no any consistency in the government. In fact, the least considered sector today is the educational system. It's not longer viable unlike before.

It would interest you to know that even in the performance of students in WAEC and NECO is a thing to cry for. The JAMB score self is another thing. Even if a student meet the requirements, it's very difficult to secure admission. Presently one of my boys applied for medicine and surgery with a score of 230 but yet he hasn't been considered for admission yet. Hmmm admission now is not longer based on merit instead how much do you have in your pocket? Bribery and corruption has erupted and affected virtually everything about The educationalools sector today. This is so sad.

Is everyone allowed to pursue education to the farthest? Hmmm there is restriction due to insecurity, other unnecessary policies.
Some schools are gender sensitive thereby creating some sorts of prejudice accumulating to the degrading of the educational system.
