HERE IS MY PERSPECTIVE ON SURROGACY

Greetings from this axis. This is my first post in the month of April. Guess what? This is my birthday month therefore is the best of other months. I want to believe you enjoyed the best moments of the month especially on the first day which people normally engage in pranks. I don't like that.

When I saw this theme, I was wondering where to start from but had to take a deep breath to think what it means. Surrogacy has brought a lot of arguments, emotional and issues across the globe. It's a complicated matter with various perspectives. In this post, I would try my best to share my own view.

What's surrogacy?

This is a plan where there is an agreement between a woman and a couple to bear a child for them. Surrogacy entails when a woman agrees to conceived and give birth to a baby for another person or family or couple. We are living in such a time where there are certain women that are making it as a business where they are booked to give birth to others. Recently we got talking with a couple and one of the partners started narrating their intention to go on surrogacy. There are many factors or reasons that makes couple delve into surrogacy. The bottom line remains that there must be a contract or agreement between the two parties.

The two types of surrogacy I know are traditional and gestational surrogacy.

• Traditional surrogacy the mother (surrogate) is the one that releases the egg that means the child is by default has a biological connection. In order words, the surrogate mother allows her egg to be used for the formation of zygote.
• Gestational surrogacy on the other hand is type of surrogacy that the child or baby is not related to her instead In vitro fertilization(IVF) is created that would carry the embryo. Is just like using the surrogate mother as a container to bear the baby.

There are so many reasons why people go for surrogacy even though not limited to this . Infertility this affects couples that are infertile who had been waiting for their babies. The technological advancement made it possible so that the couple could sought their burreness issue. When everywhere looks cloudy they are left with the option of surrogacy. A single person can decide to go on surrogacy so that he would a child. This means marriage doesn't necessarily requires two persons because there are alternatives to child bearing. At times medical condition necessitates this. Different reasons to different people however the choice is left for the couple deployed whichever means would suut them and meet their needs.

Should surrogacy be abandoned for the traditional way of child bearing?

As i earlier stated, surrogacy is a debatable matter and it all depends on individuals and agreement established. I think surrogacy is a scientific improvement method of curbing the rate of infertility or barrenness where couple could still have children. It should be left open for everyone to choose because of religion background and individual differences. The risk involved is what I'm still thinking. What if there is a bridge of contract?

conclusion

Personally I would not support another woman giving birth for someone. It would create a lot of arguments, problems between the couples. The child from the surrogate mother has some sensed of relationship attached which would be difficult to erase. Any couple intending to go for this should endeavor to consider the pros and cons of the game.
