CAN I STAY WITHOUT PHONE? YES OR NO...

Greetings from this end and I hope everyone is fine just as i am. It's been almost a drought moment here for a couple of days as the high expectations of rain ceased whereas many had planted lots of things in the farm. I don't think I would exonerate myself because i wanted to farm potatoes yesterday but the ground was dried hence couldn't do anything and the weather wasn't favorable because of the heat. As if God knew exactly how the atmosphere has been for us here, as we slept last night a heavy wind with some droplets of rain wet the ground. In fact it was even the weather that motivated me to start working on my participation this morning... I don't know where you are reading this post from but my wether is chilly now. At least I can think of what to write now.

One of the most difficult thing I saw when i stumbled on the theme for this edition was how to start writing. This topic made me to take stock and think several times about my phone usage. There is great advancement in the area of technology and other infrastructure across the world which can't easily be debated. Assessing the former and the present one could clearly figure the changes which has caused a quantum shift to both human and other things. I could clearly remembered in 2000 when some of these phones weren't common. SIM cards were sold at over ten thousand naira and I didn't have money to buy any. A lot of rumors went around that the world is coming to an end and some people that never believed in technological advancement were sore afraid and started selling some of their properties.

I remained resolute even though the shaking seems to be much. It will shock you to note that most people that criticize the advent of computer and Mobile phones are the addicted users of such gadgets presently.

The truth still remains that mobile phone and computer have greatly influenced the life of humans positively and negatively. The merit outweigh the demerit. I happened to buy phone before i latter got a computer system. In fact i am amongst the people that like exploring every new thing i see. Phone does almost similar functions that a computer could do for me. My wife typed her final year project work with her mobile phone. There wasn't time to complain that she had no computer device.

We all as humans have our various individual differences which defines our uniqueness to usage of sophisticated gadgets like handset and computers. I have a friend that could spend almost 12hours daily with his laptop. When he told me this, i thought it to be a lie. Hmmmmm i have seen it for myself and stayed with him for more than two years. As soon as he wakes up, the next time after prayer is android phone or his laptop.

Consciously and unconsciously i have started becoming very use and close the my phone more than computer. Once I am done working with laptop, i send it to my phone number to carry out any other finish work.
Recently, i use to sleep with my phone either besides my head or under the pillow....shiiiii don't come and still it ooooo because i would change the position from today 😂😂😂.

I can do without a phone but its not easy but one thing i do deliberately is to be conscious of my next task and practically step into it. Sometimes a voice whispers to me you can't do without your phone oooooo...
I normally rebuke it once in a while.

There are people that are addicted to phone and computer which they can't do without for an hour. They don't use it for any productive thing. There are also people out there that can do without their phones for a day. The key factor here is individual differences and kind of work we normally engage ourselves with. For me i am a hiver therefore I need it.

Thanks for reading.....

Truly, the way technology has changed our lives is massive. It’s hard to imagine doing certain things now without a phone or computer, especially when work depends on it. But the challenge is finding balance so that these gadgets don’t control us completely. Even when we feel we can do without them, somehow they keep dragging us back because of one task or the other. Like you said, it all depends on individual needs and the kind of work one does.

I agree with you on this. Getting balance is very important.
