Both the present and the former era have their pros and cons.

There has been a great changes as year comes and goes. For more than 100years there has been gradually transformation in the society. The world we live today is different from the world of years ago. Communication, education, technology, health care, transportation and many other sectors has recorded great transformation. As humans, we have different perspectives about life. To many people life in the olden days are far better than what we have now. Well that can't completely be argued based on how things are viewed. There is need to accommodate everyone's understanding concerning this matter.

For the second edition of this prompt focuses on the variance or significance of the old era and the new era. I intend to share some of the factors that contributed to the cause of the transformation.

One of the first factor I will like to discuss is in the area of communication and technological advancement. There is significant difference between the old era and new era in terms of communication and technology. Many years ago, communication was not fast and limited. Infact only the rich and those with financial muscles can afford to use some means of communication because of how expensive it was. Letter writing was the commonest ways of communication and news papers etc. When you write and post a letter, it will take days and sometimes weeks before it gets to the recipient. Many other people used radio but how many could afford that? Talk more of telephone hmmm it was truly rare to be seen.

Unlike the present era where is great advancement in technological development in terms of communication. Computers, smartphone and Internet allows you to communicate faster and more effectively than plenty years ago. Part of the development is in the area of emails and other social media handles.
Modern technology has improved life even though it has some challenges but the impacts is more.

Another aspect of transformation that I would like to touch is health care. Apparently there is difference between the former health facilities and present one. Some diseases like malaria, typhoid, tuberculosis were dangerous sicknesses that could lead to death. Mortality rate were very high.
In today's world science has made things easier. The introduction of vaccines, antibiotics, scanning machines, hospital etc has really helped to improve the well being of people. Diseases that once killed many people has been arrested even research is still ongoing concerning other procedures to overcome the healthcare system.

Education is said is the bedrock of knowledge and every society depends on school for any noticable advancement. Education in the old days was not accessible to everyone. People in the rural areas had little contact with formal education.The educational learning materials were not enough compare to the present time. Women were religated to just kitchen.
The present era has made education more attractive. Government has tried in redefining the system of education. There has been introduction of libraries, and other viable educational materials. The Internet provided an unending educational platforms to surf for information. Things aren't hidden unlike before.

Lastly let me share about transportation and general values of life. Animals were used as means of transportation on land. Roads were bad and hardly do you see vehicles. Bicycles were common then later migrated to motorcycle and even to aeroplane. Transportation in those days delays and takes much time for one to travel from one end to another.
Presently there are varied means of transportation and is faster compared to what we had many years ago.

Determining which era is better depends on perspective. The era of 100 years ago had simplicity, stronger community relationships, and fewer technological distractions. Life was slower, and many people valued hard work, patience, and personal interaction.

The present era, however, offers greater comfort, better healthcare, improved education, faster communication, and wider opportunities for growth. Scientific advancement has solved many problems that people of the past struggled with daily.

Conclusion

The comparison between the era of 100 years ago and the present era reveals how much humanity has changed. While the old era was marked by simplicity, stronger social values, and limited technology, the modern era is characterized by innovation, speed, and global connection.
