Balancing online and offline

#### picture is mine.

Hi lovely family. I celebrate all the participants and everyone on this platform for their consistency in dropping quality entries. When I saw the theme for this second edition, I had to give a deep thought. At first I was wondering where to start but after a while I decided to start this way.

The advent of technology has really caused a quantum shift in virtually all facets of human endeavors in today's world. Infact it's very rare to identify with any organization that ICT has not influenced either directly or indirectly. The generation and the world is becoming a global village where technology has softened and made things easy.

I used to say that life online is gradually becoming more than the offline. This implies that the online platform is taking over the helm of every affairs in today's world. It's very hard to find what can't be done online. If restaurants are done online now what else do you think can't be done online?

Recently my wife shared with me how one of her close friends got married via Facebook. She met her husband online and gradually it turned out to reality where she said yes to him. Today, they are doing wonderfully. These are all products of ICT and it's impacts that can't be overemphasized.

To bring it down to the theme of discussion, what does this say about our world where people are encouraged to be in doors and not meet physically? Hmmmm in everything that one does, regulation is very paramount. There is need to regulate every activity in order to earn more strength and readiness for the next task. As much as online is good, it's very important to strike balance and make out time for physical meetings.

Physical meeting helps one to exercise the body very well and have a taste of natural instead of being artificially attached to something. There are times where what you think is good online might turned out to something you would never like in your life. I could remember when I was working with one private professional institution. My boss placed an order for a beautiful projector. We saw the description of the parts and felt this would really serve our purpose. Immediately he placed an order and paid for it. When it arrived, it was well received but never knew that it can't really perform the function of what we wanted. Therefore buying things online can be good however it could be deceptive as well. One must be very careful in handling such.

No matter how the advancement in technology is, the offline can't be override completely. Things like games, relationship etc supposed not to end only online but should be extended to the physical realm where one could interact with nature and find fulfillment. If all emphasis ends online, then the world might be tilting towards destruction.

For me if there is no balance, life will certainly be so boring and discouraging.

Thanks so much for reading through this particular entry. See you in the next edition.
