The future we see in movies is finally becoming a reality. The world has really gotten far from where it used to be. We used to be a generation of people with the only means of transportation is either animals or our legs. Slowly and rapidly, we grew from that, to what we have today.
Technology has made life a lot easier, the stress and hardship that comes with transportation is getting eradicated by technology. With these innovative ideas comes new responsibility. One thing most humans don't realize is that, the more we have, the more we are responsible for.
All these tools provided by technology, comes with sophisticated machines that matches the trend of a specific era. The moment we start running around with these tools, We should also have it at the back of our minds that, there are two sides to a coin. What gives us comfort, can also endanger out lives or the lives of other people.
We are talking about tools with great power, that can cause people serious harm, this is why these tools comes with lot of user manual and agreement, so that every user can consent to the fact that, they possess what it takes to make use of the tool. It means, the responsibility no longer falls on the manufacturer anymore but the user of the tool.
Do I support self driving cars? I Don't really have a straight answer for this question. There is something most people have not figured out yet, every car is created to match the condition of a specific environment. It can be said that, the cars is useable in every environment but not all environment provide what is needed for a car to work effectively.

Self driving cars work based on algorithm, they read traffic signs, horns, land scape e.t.c these things helps the car to better maintain a smooth driving experience. Now imagine driving that same car in an environment without traffic lights, environment where drivers don't find it necessary to horn appropriately or the road lines are messed up. With all these, you can't expect to have the same experience with people who have all these things in place.
So for countries with good environment for the usage of the cars, self driving car will definitely be cool but I won't still use it. The reason is that, I'm incapable of putting my lives in the hands of a machine. A car that relies fully on automated control, lot of things could go wrong and I'm not about to find out.
If a self driving car should be involved in an accident, who should be blamed? The owner of course. A self driving car is not human or capable of taking responsibility for actions made. The responsibility has been taken away from the manufacturer the moment it is bought, I mean the manufacturer definitely passed through field test before the manufacturer gets the approval to put the car in the market.
If a self driving should get involved in an accident, no one cares about where that car was purchased from, they just want to know who owns it. When a dog bites a person, you don't arrest the dog because it is the owners responsibility to put the dog under control.
