😇I respect po!💕🙏 But most of Christ believers have different beliefs po!💕. Some just to have fun, but most of all to celebrate it's spirit, not the "birth" itself , we believe of the purpose and reason po why he was here and it's for salvation po, like what is written in the John 3:16-17 of the Bible po to give light and truth too po. The spirit which is Love, kindness, humility unity, Joy, sharing and helping po. 😇. Celebrating Christmas once a year po, creates different positive emotions po. For me po Christmas is everyday and each moment po. I celebrate Christmas in my heart and life everyday, because I put Lord Jesus Christ in my heart po. Celebrating every 25 of December maybe not the exact day, but it is like us that celebrates our birthday once a year po without any request, rules or laws po that commanded it to be done. We are doing it because of love and to celebrate life, not on the material aspect po, and for our family and loved ones po, showing how grateful we are for having them in our lives, show of love and importance po😁😇🙏❤️.
That's it Mz, as Christians we are to share love every day and that is how the world knows we are sent by Jesus Christ. If you as a Christian celebrates Christmas you might be at a very big risk of practicing the doctrine of man although you know that you do it for the right reasons.
I remember you said you've read the new testament, I can't remember if you read all but then, from the place you've read, did you see Christ choose a particular day to celebrate his birthday? Or did you see his apostles do so? All I saw that the apostles celebrated was the lord's supper and in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 Christ told his apostles to do that to remember him.
That's the only feast we see Jesus Christ's apostles observed and as Christians we are to learn from Christ first, his apostles then we can make use of necessary references.
God is concerned of how we serve him, we cannot just serve him the way we feel is right, we have to serve him the way he wants and celebrating his birth once in a year was never the practice we could find in the Bible.
