RE: Topcomment weekly curation report (week 29)

@topcomment and @commentrewarder fill a gap in #hive that receives little to no attention, much to my surprise. It is such a natural thing to do once you come to think about it.

There is though one little thing I see in a different manner. You said you want to get your vote up to $1... well I think that increasingly your reach is more important than increasing your punch. I mean, if you get to around $0.50 but double your number of comments curated, that's a greater victory (as I see things) than delivering $1 votes and keeping roughly the same amount of votes delivered.

That's a good point. We could also go that way. Or something in between. There do need to be enough quality comments to upvote. And I might need some more curators then too. But we are bot there yet. Your input is appreciated.

Well, I think that as you increase your reach, quality comments should follow an increasing trend. I'll take myself as a case study: learning about the existence of topcomment made me pivot towards better comments.

Bigger accounts will find the hard (economic) incentive a little lacking, but among the smaller accounts it will be perceived quite favorably and enough so as to make them perceive quality comments as something desirable.
