Recreating sweet memories

The joy of going for a holiday while growing up always brings joy and gladness to my heart. During when I was in primary school, whenever a holiday was drawing near, I made sure that my clothes were clean and well-kept.

Especially if I am going to spend the holidays with my grandma or my aunt in Lagos. I don't hesitate to announce to my friends and neighbors that I will soon be leaving them to experience another state and enjoy nature. Yes, I have always loved nature, and one thing I love is quietness and a serene environment.

I have had two holidays this year. Every weekend that I don't go to work is equally a holiday for me, because I get to sleep longer in bed, wake up, have my breakfast without a rush, and do my laundry peacefully without stress. I get to eat a home-cooked meal because sometimes I have to eat out.

I just came back from the Easter holidays. Although it was fun and full of many vibes, I miss the little pet dog Coco and her little puppy Milo. I miss them sneaking up on me, especially at night when the lights have not been turned on.Going out to listen to live bands was fun, especially the indoor activities and pranks. It was just a breath of fresh air.

As for my next holiday, I'm still confused about where it's going to be. It's going to be in my country or another country. Although it's just a one-week holiday, I want to make sure it was well spent.

What are my plans?

I plan to visit places I haven't been before, that's why I am thinking of visiting other countries apart from the states in mine. I have already arranged my journal, plan to get a new phone with a sharp camera. 'Cause I am sure going to turn into a travel blogger and a food critic at the same time.

How do I hope to spend it?
It's going to be with friends and cousins. We have these games that we have been planning to play on the beach till midnight. I missed it; it was memories that we created the last time we gathered together in Lagos. Making our own chops, food, drinks, and bringing our very own table, chair, picnic mat, and basket full of fruits too. Truth and dare, guess and win, alphabet games. I want to recreate that memory again, it's been 6 years now.

How long will it take?

It's going to be for one week or more, but it's going to be unforgettable. All I hope is that all goes as planned and no hitch along the way. We planned the same last year but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was canceled. All the rush, packing, getting some new things, the excitement of the reunion was just crushed. Although I happily anticipate this coming holiday, a part of me is still reluctant to prepare but I will still keep my hopes up expecting the best.
