Grades Aren't Everything.

Education in my own opinion is not a competition ground and it should never be treated as such, the main purpose that we go to school is to learn, gain knowledge, to understand the world better and to develop yourself as a person,since we have established that fact and we know this , let's go back to this : Education should never be a competitive ground like never, because we see in some school environment today that they have turned the whole thing to be a thing of competition, who's is scoring higher, who is at the top leaderboard etc. and this is not supposed to be so.

When students enter school what they should be focused on is gaining knowledge , discovering their potentials at an early age and first and foremost at their own pace, that's is one thing that every student should take into consideration, you are improving yourself , adding value t yourself at your own pace without any sort of influence and the main deal is you are actually learning.
We have seen many unhealthy things that students do just so they can be at the top of their class and I feel this isn't supposed to be so, some take drugs so they can stay up late to read , some don't sleep, some don't eat all because they want to be at certain levels , I actually do not agree with this stuff. It's dangerous to their health , the learning ground isn't a place of competition, the purpose of education is to help people grow, it is not to break them mentally or physically.

When some students don't meet up with this expectations, they now begin to see themselves as failure and that's not what education is, it is infact an unhealthy way to place merrit on one self, when the system focuses on grades and competitions , many important ascepts of learning are now ignored, lets be truthful here , not every student will end up with a white collar job and that is not a crime, infact it is not a bad thing, there are skilled that are paying people well around the world that I know very well, yes some people will become doctors , engineers, lawyers, other may become chefs, photographers, artists, entrepreneurs, this are all good things to do, there are valuable roles that our society do need, when schools focuses on academic performance alone, they make it seem like there's only one definition not success and that's not supposed to be.

Education bis something that should encourage students on what they want to become , what they can and want to do as individuals, there are some students that are good with books and their exams and some others are good at creative works or practical skills, either of them deserve full respect, competition is not all bad but it should be an healthy one that motivates students, something that pushes them to do better for themselves, schools should aim to create environments where students feel it's safe to learn, to ask questions , to make mistakes , correct them and try again, that's what they should do, education shouldnt be a battle field.

At the end of the day education is all about growth, understanding and development, it's is something to help them become better individuals for themselves and the society
