“Mastering My Day with One Simple Life Hack”

Life will always be simpler when we apply hacks to it. These hacks are may not even be cumbersome things or things that are special. As simple as they may be or appear, What matters is that we make the most of them and use them to our own advantage.

From day to day experience, I have come to find out that there are some things I do that makes my day to day life experience easier and more productive. One of them is to use a to do list .

As simple as this may sound, it has helped me tremendously in no small way. My to do list have served as a daily check or thermometer for me to measure my productivity. I have come to see that the days when I have a to do list and the days when I don’t are not the same.

The amount of work, energy and effectiveness I put into my day increase with to do list than the days when I don’t do them. So it’s starts with a mental note. First I make a mental note of all I want to do for the day and then I go to my note pad on my phone and write them down with the date.

I usually do this the day before so as to get myself in the right mental state before I sleep. When I sleep the night before knowing all I want to do the next day, it helps me to be mentally alert to start the next day knowing when to wake up.

So I arrange the to do list from the basic necessities of my day such as praying, reading my Bible down to the other things I will do in the day. So once the day starts and l start doing them, I begin to tick them off one by one.

So when I get to a juncture where I feel lost on what next to do, I breeze in to my todo list, confirm and continue with the day. Most times I have more than I can meet up on my to do list for the day, in that case, I carry them over to the next day.

Sometimes I am able to finish up all on my list making that day a fulfilled one. The days when I get to go about my day without a to do list is always chaotic and most times I waste the day.

It’s like waking up without have a structure for the day or what I want to achieve. So I see myself dabbling into useless things or gallivanting from pillar to post at a loss on what I want to do.

It can be so depressing to be in this state because at the end of the day, the day is gone and I am wandering what I achieved. Coupled with the fact that the way time is flying off these days, I can’t even explain it. It’s like I am literally watching the day dissipate before me.

Everyday seems to be Sunday. I wake up and I am in church only to wake up and be in church the next Sunday again. It’s so appalling at how time flies.

So my to do list is that simple hack that keeps me all sane and try to make the most of my day. You should try it out too.
