I understand your feelings about politicians, but you must know that it's our destiny to be gregarious beings. As Aristotle said, we're the zoon politikon, the social animal per excellence, and being social animals generates this kind of problems in which some few receive a lot of benefits. In first place, this means we all are political beings, because we're forced to get involved in society's problems. In second place, you wouldn't be a bad politician for sure, because being corrupt isn't a requisite for it, it's a consequence of being it. In third place, it's understandable that you want to make something but you feel you cannot lead a great change, I just tell you, politicians work consists a lot on handling problems between people with different interests (when they are not so corrupt), so there's isn't an absolute solution to the problems, education would be just one of them. What I suggest you is, never think that what you do is unnoticeable, because in any place, at any time and doing anything, someone is looking your acts, so at the end, the best you can do to help your reality change, is contributing with actions to society, serving others in some way, it has more impact than you think.
Gosh, I can't tell you how uplifting what you've written is, it really is a good point, that even if the environment is bad and corrupt, if we continue on our path of peace and justice someone will notice and that this can make a difference and even inspire other people to do the right thing.
Thank you very much for sharing this knowledge!
