You made a good point. I also think that the law of a country or a nation should be objective. And it should not cater to a certain type of thought process because as good as morality and ethics sound, there's always disagreement to be found within the opinion of any two people. So instead of that, if laws are objective and focused on preventing a certain action instead of morally judging it to vary the consequences is a better judgment.
