There are many times when I feel like having free time for myself, when I can spend some special time having fun and sharing the best moments with friends and family. However, I am currently finding it difficult to create such a time.
Maybe I should say it’s all because I am still at the early stage of my business, and it's taking a lot from me. So the pressure is actually on; I need to dedicate a lot to it. But I am still fine with it as long as I know that there shall surely come a time when I will have the chance to be free from full-time work.
I remembered some days in the past when we were in elementary school, there was this vibe that came from getting closer to the holidays. It's always fun, and we are always eager to have those free days to play.
Even on weekends, it's always been one of the best holidays; the energy from those two days has really been worth it. But the sad part is having the thoughts that the days will be over soon, and you will have to get back to your normal work days again, especially when you have a tedious work session.
There are a lot of benefits to holidays. Some take it as a means to relax their brains and have their mind settled. It's just a moment of fun to some people, and there are some who just want to be free.
On my end, I have tried giving myself some holidays even on public holidays, but I still have to get to work. Raising livestock has never been any easier, especially when you are in the breeding aspect of it. It takes so much time and attention. As much as they are so fragile. So it has been time-consuming for me.
Recently, I got into a conversation with a friend and we discussed his workdays and holidays. He had a remote job, but that doesn't mean they should give him just 15 days' break in a year.
On my end, the days are just too short; there should be more time, I think, but if I am to conclude, then I will say that the amount of holidays should compensate for the workload the employees are involved in.
Take, for example, a primary school teacher gets more holiday time in a year than a professor, though the school teacher will have that free time, but the professor won't. And when you get to compare their pay, it will be in no way equal.
In all, holidays are very important, and I even know employees who work from Monday to Saturday; their only day off is on Sundays. I believe no matter the kind of pay the person gets, the work will remain toxic to them at some point because they didn’t get the necessary free time they needed.
This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community for the Week 184 Edition 2, and the topic to be discussed is HOLIDAY SEASON.

Sincerely,it's not bad to go on a break or holiday but some jobs doesn't allow that, it can be frustrating sometimes,so that's why I pray for more holidays too
Free time is definitely needed, the truth is that, some countries even work for lesser days and they still have stable economy, but here in Nigeria we can't say the same
You run a business of your own, which is why it seems like you are not having enough holiday. It is the kind of sacrifice that comes with running an enterprise of your own, probably if you were working in the public sector, you might enjoy more holidays but still, anyone can still choose to work on holidays.
It is individual working pattern that determines the number of holidays we enjoy, as a business owner, you can decide to go on holiday for a month, no one will question you because you only do what your business demands.
