RE: The first breakfast in Spain - Coffee & toast

Hello @thisismylife,
I do like the sound of peach jam, but I have to agree that "the experience" is what would make it more special.
The coffee, toast, and small croissant look amazing; But was there a bakery in the Lidl supermarket? My favourite place to purchase my croissants are from Lidl, their Bakery section here in the UK is amazing... I ❤️ Lidl:)))

I do agree though that it's nice to have a treat every now and then where you don't have to prepare breakfast yourself...
It's coming up to 23;00 hours and I'm craving that delightful cup of coffee.

I enjoyed reading your post... Sending good vibes for the rest of the weekend:)))

Hello!

It's truly the experience, in this case, I never enjoyed any toast with peach jam after I left Spain the first time, so weird, but true.

There is a bakery and a good one indeed. Although they differ from country to country, this one is better than in Hungary for sure! I forgot about a few things I loved so much from the bakery here.

I feel you about the coffee! Breakfast is probably the only thing I will have outside tomorrow as I burned so badly today when walking 10km, the wind made me forget about the power of the sun. If I dare to be in the sun tomorrow I will regret it so I will have a quick breakfast and stay in mostly, or until it's evening, haha.

Unless that's all closed because it's not clear to me if cafes are opened on Sunday :)
Thank you for your nice comments, I appreciate it and I hope now that we are settling finally, I will be more up to speed engaging myself!

Enjoy your Sunday (with coffee :) )

I'm sorry to hear about your sunburn, but you're right. The wind makes the heat deceiving. I hope you have some good Aloe Vera to help you. I'm pleased you had a long walk though.

I get that about the Bakery at Lidl that it varies in different countries. They have scaled back on the products here in the UK, so I tend to only have the croissants and the maple and pecan plait.

Thanks for your good wishes too, I appreciate it 😊
