The body often needs rest. Away from all the stress, and the best way to relieve stress, is to give myself a treat.
Coffee no doubt means a lot to me, as it's a good way to enjoy a me-time. I have always enjoyed taking coffee alone as it affords me enough time for self-discovery but on a lazy afternoon, please I already know who I am. So I just go with the flow of the day.
I would describe my typical lazy afternoon as one where the chaos of the world don't matter to me, my mind isn't wandering, no pressure of any sort and just me goofing around. This means I'm not doing anything serious, just finding joy in the little things and little ways I can.
Binge-watching funny videos on YouTube makes me happy but not as much as listening to music, and If you've skimmed through my blog here on Hive, you'll probably note how much music helps me get through my lazy days.
It hits differently when I am sipping a cup of coffee and listening to music, what a sweet treat! I find myself having the time of my life and just living the baby girl life unbothered and blissful. The world can either pause and stare at me how unbothered I've become on my lazy afternoon or move on without me, but all I know is I just don't care what it does.
There's something I've noticed when it comes to listening to music and sipping a cup of coffee, it's how the lyrics sink right into my heart because I'm paying maximum attention to it.
Holding onto my cup of coffee, inhaling the pleasant aroma, sipping the coffee slowly and just nodding my head along to the songs takes me to another world. It's a big treat for me, as simple as it may sound.
Being a lover of art, I could also pick up a paper and pencil and just sketch something out of the blue. Whatever comes to mind, gets to be expressed through a sketch and most times it's a design from my head.
I find myself smiling genuinely as I pause to take a sip at intervals while sketching. It's obviously something that makes my soul feel alive, relaxed and motivated.
The smile indicates, Amie is surely enjoying her own company, living her best life in solitude, appreciating her ability to create happiness for herself and staying creative like she always loves to do. Nothing beats that on a lazy afternoon with my cup of coffee by the side.

I kept inhaling and exhaling as I read through. This was soothing for me. Like you, I also enjoy taking coffee alone(not in a social circle and also not with any edibble). There's this pleasure about it that I feel uncomfortable about compromising.
