Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!
On today's blog, I'm going to be talking about how to stake your Hive, using your Hive keychain wallet app.
On Sunday, i made a post about my hive staking goal and the hive staking contest initiated by @fokusnow, i got a lot of comments from that post, but there's this one comment that drew my attention. "How do you stake your Hive?" This question was asked by @zusi78
Firstly , open your hive keychain wallet app. This is what your keychain would look like after logging.
Next up - click on hive
After clicking on hive, four squre boxes are going to appear
There's a box for transfer, convert, savings, and power up.
Looking at the above picture, there are four options in each square. Each of these squares has its own function, but for now, we'll only be concentrating on powering up . When you've gotten to this point on your keychain wallet, the next step to take is to click on the Power up box.
The first square with your name, you have no business with it, you don't have to change anything there, so we're going to skip that part and go straight to our business powering up our hive. Click on the "Amount box" and input the amount of hive you want to power up.
In this blog, I'll be powering up 1.412 hive. I input the amount of hive i want in the amount box. You can decide the amount of huve you want to power up, it's up to you, there's no specific amount or daily limit in powering up hive, just power up as much or as little as you can.
The MAX icon close to the amount box, simply means powering up or staking the entire hive in your wallet, so whenever you're powering and you click on the max icon, all the hive you have in your wallet will be powered up.
The next step is clicking on the power-up bar.
After clicking on the power-up bar, it's going to show you the output of what you've done so far. The amount of hive you've selected for staking and the balance you have left.
After confirming your stake amount, it will process for a little while, and afterwards, it will show "Your power up was successful".
If you've gotten to this point, be rest assured your hive has been staked and it has been added to you HP (Hive power).
This process doesn't mean your hive is no longer in your account, rather it means that your power-up and you can't withdraw it just like your normal hive.
@zusi78, i hope this post was helpful, and for anyone finding it difficult to power-up, this well detailed blog will be very helpful for you, take your time and go through it, you could also practice along while reading this post, it would help you catch up more faster. In my next blog, I'll be discussing how to swap HBD to Hive.
If you've read to this extent, thank you so much
See you on the next one
