FIRST BANK DIGITAL BANKING HUB

Changes are hard to come by. Most people run away from them because they are hard or feel impossible, and that’s just enough reason why they are hard. Recently, exactly on the first day of this year, I followed a family to a branch of a local bank where the mother of the house works, called First Bank. We were all excited about this visit because it was more than just going to the bank to show us what we would find interesting; it was also a great time to bond like a family.

When we arrived at the bank, it was already late in the evening, but since the lady was a worker, the security man opened the gates to let us in because we drove. At first, I wasn’t even sure why we were at the bank. We alighted from the vehicle and went straight to a new beautiful building just standing almost directly behind where we had parked the car. Honestly, I was impressed by what I saw. Everything was new—not your regular kind of place to go withdraw your money! The entry/exit door was a sensor door; all we had to do was go close to it, and it would open up.

When we entered inside, we were welcomed by a very cool room because the place was fully air-conditioned. There was a beautiful waiting spot for those who wanted to rest before it got to their turn. I sat on the couch just to get a feel of it, and it was really nice. Well, I couldn’t sit for too long because I was curious to see more. I stood up and quickly brought out my phone to take pictures of the place. It was just too beautiful for me to only see and not save for future reference.

The place is a digital banking hub for First Bank. It is a place where customers and prospective customers can go for different kinds of banking services without having to go through the traditional process of speaking to a banker first. Everything can be done just through the screen! I was even more fascinated by the machine that gives out ATM cards! And there was also this machine that is for any changes and adjustments needed in personal accounts or even partnership accounts.

Almost everything relating to banking can be done right there! And of course, there was a place for withdrawals and the usual things we do at the ATM. But sadly, when we tried using the system, it didn’t work, but we suspected it was probably because it was already late and it wasn’t during working hours. It made sense because if there are any serious problems that a customer is fixing, it is very important that someone is monitoring the system as different things are being done at the customer’s end.

I’m not sure if that was the reason though, but I’m hoping that it is not because the whole system is not working. I plan to go back there some other time during working hours and see if it works, but I haven’t had that time to do so.

So, have you seen something like this before? If yes, have you operated it before? And how was your experience?

Thank you for reading through. 💜
