A good title definitely helps as does a good cover picture. But my biggest clickbait reaction is to the subject. Especially if any of the trigger words are there,the 3 bs boobs,beer,booze.
As for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong... I'll comment on just about anything if I'm in the right mood or drunk.

1a. a Title that is creative or at least about something interesting.
1b. a Body does not read dry but has some curves to it
1c. It can even be short and fun, memes anyone?
Frankly I don't really comment but the above are reasons to combined with:
2a. I am bored and just in that mood.
2b. They do not have any comments.
2c. The content is the perfect storm for me to want to speak my sheet :P
Everything can be in place, but if I do not feel like commenting then I won't. It has almost nothing to do with peoples content. These things come in waves and socials / commenting is draining. Fortunately the same things make me vote or rehive posts, I would often do those things or other rewards if it does not require me to comment. Unfortunately, tokens like !PIZZA and !LUV them require comments so I hardly use them.
I think someone that likes commenting like @rubido could be a good option for the next Lightning strike :)
