It seems like it has passed beyond its hype cycle and there isn't much substance to keep users or make them stick around. I could recall when it was frequently talked about on social media as a 'good twitter alternative'.

Yeah, it seems that noone is really using it and stayed on Twitter.
Right, many of the 'Twitter killers' have become more or less irrelevant now.
