Orpheus' music and voice drew audiences from afar. One of the many who attended his concerts was a wood nymph named Eurydice. Her presence and beauty drew his attention. It was love at first sight. Soon after, the god Hymenaios wed the two. In the day that transpired, they lived happily ever after until the shadows of fate fell upon the newlyweds.
Driven by lust and envy, a shepherd named Aristaeus desired the wood nymph. Who was Orpheus to have such a creature within his grasp? It was a betrayal of the gods for Aristaeus to suffer such an injustice. Instead, he would rebel against the fates, kill Orpheus, and claim the wood nymph for his own.
Aristaeus took his opportunity and attacked. The couple ran, but Eurydice stepped upon a snake that bit her in their haste. Orpheus held her in his arms as she died. Denied the wife that would be his again, Aristaeus fled in fear and disgust. He would never have this opportunity again.
Orpheus, son of Sun and Light, never regained his lost love. Driven to defeat by his sins of pride, envy, and sloth, Orpheus' life was claimed not by the damned but by his mind and hands of women he scorned.
The season 4 challenge had 94 entries. Our best engagement ever. Not everyone made it to the grading criteria, but everyone had a chance to submit more than one article. Thirty-two contestants qualified for the final grading.

Hive is an excellent place to be. I'm still learning new things as I go. Here are some articles that will aid you on your path here.
Sins are bad. Hubris, or pride, is the gateway that allows the rest of the evils to grow within our souls. They then advance the corruption that always lies in wait. Sins may benefit society to a degree, but they don't help humanity. Not in any way. Only with a balance between the vices and virtues can we move forward as a species.
When we allow our sins to take hold, it's like placing wool over our eyes to shield us from morality. A strong will becomes required to pull yourself back into the light.
I'll miss this contest while it's shut down for development.
You've allowed me to experience your perspective of reality. I am forever grateful to all the communities that participated. You didn't just tell me about your beliefs and lives. You gave me a place to call my home in the community.
Thanks to the community for supporting our fellow authors. I look forward to providing more in the future. Thank you for reading and following on throughout my Hive journey.

The tale of pob and vyb...
It was the best of times
It was the worst of times
I'm glad to have met this community and look forward to a blessed new year.
BTy the way,
It's interesting to see the sins listed in popularity and no surprise Greed is popular on a reward based social network.
What an honor, thanks so much to all who worked on this ❤️
Congratulations to all of the winners, and everyone who entered 🙌 I can't wait to see what the new version of this will be :)

Congratulations to all the winners, it has being a wonderful year so far on the word of the week challenge.
Sadly I couldn't make it to the top 5 throughout this year. Next year rally is a fresh page to hit the higher points.
Thanks so much Pob-wotw team🥳🍾🥂
You'll do great things in the next one :) ... Meanwhile, do keep up the great work ❤️
It was fantastic to participate in this challenge. My own personal challenge and the time to develop the seven sins worked against me, since it was an interesting activity with a lot of dedication, which was demonstrated with all the participations. Really, you promote a very effective way of integrating and sharing in this community, that is very commendable and deserves the recognition of all here. My sincere congratulations for this great contribution for the benefit of all. I will be waiting for new calls. I am happy, because despite having a couple of entries, I finished in the top 10 of the ranking, I love it. Greetings my friend.

Thank you @scholaris, @calumam, @nonsowrites for a wonderful end to season 4. You have all three been a Godsend this year and your contest has formed a central point around which my 6 months (so far) Hive writing journey has pivoted. My account actually turned 6 months old on 6th December :-) Congrats to everyone who entered. It takes courage, determination, and perseverance for us all to keep putting ourselves out there each week...and a whole truckload of effort...and some weeks I have literally skated in with minutes to spare... (I feel those eyes on me ...and maybe a raised eyebrow ... hee hee...but I make it on time lol) but hopefully most of us can vouch for the joy that we derive from the experience and the growth that takes place in ourselves as a result. I think we can all use the WOTW creative break to recharge the batteries and come back stronger, ready to take on whatever challenges the 3 musketeers present. As an aside, I don't see the usual merit grading table that is usually presented. Was this intentionally left out? I only ask as I always examine it to see where my pieces are gaining strength, flatlining, or require more focus ;-) Keep having fun and being creative everyone... and we'll continue to bump into each other in the community.
It's there. Please check the Finalists section immediately beneath the bar chart.
Got it! Ha :-) I was looking for the whole table and missed that it was a link this time. Thank you🙏

It has been a lovely experience in this contest so far, I have learnt a lot, starting from wats to create contents, to new words, to construction of sentences, to different views and perspectives of people towards the same subject. The curation and rewards had also been so helpful.
I look forward to next year’s edition of the #wotw, till then complements of the season
I'm sure all winners are deserving so congrats to all of them. I just came back to hive this November and would love to experience a blessed upcoming year with hive. Thank You!
