I am still unsure how a random seed phrase could be vulnerable. But, even if it was, how would be generations be more safer?

I simple words: it wasn't random enough.
While most wallets use 128bit encryption, this cold wallet didn't use the randomizer chip which makes the wallets vulnerable especially when you use one sig wallet. Multi sig wallets are much much safer. If you have bitcoin for a few thousand dollars you should use a 2 of 3 multi signature wallet for maximum safety and security.

I see. So, they are basically decrypting the 128bit encryption. It makes more sense now.
I don't. But, it's good to know and be aware of these incidents.
