From $400 to $2.50. What happened?

A Big Reward

It was an ordinary day of enhancing Proof of Brain ....

to display post rewards from all Hive-Engine rewards everywhere. I saw a post displaying rewards of just over $4,000. I immediately thought it was an error, in the computer math. But by multiplying the number of PIMP tokens to get rewarded for the post by the buy price. The manual verification ruled out an error in the programming logic for calculating rewards.

I decided I would put PIMP in my list of tags and see what happens. I saw that even for my comments my rewards were in the hundreds of dollars. It seemed too good to be true, so I didn't think it was worth celebrating until I got my new PIMP tokens were traded into HBD or POB.

I stayed up late, and was think that I would see that my reward of PIMP would arrive in my Hive Engine wallet. It never did. When I looked at the post with the large amount of PIMP,the PIMP portions of the rewards had disappeared! Perhaps a PIMP whale is putting big votes on posts and then removing them just before payout. It cannot be that PIMP rewards only cothe rewards only go to curators but isn't getting displayed somehow?

I am not impressed.

Since you're doing this cross-token coding, I think a good way to double-check whats's going on would be to refer to posts on that particular tokens own front end.

Currently, I have a post with some 300K PIMP tokens (according to proofofbrain.blog), but when I look at the same post on the pimp.media front end, it's actually being rewarded about 0.7 PIMP tokens.

Here's a look at your profile:

So I don't know whether you have a decimal slip in there somewhere or what... maybe there's a "," somewhere in the code there should be a "." or vice-versa?

If that were true though, I would expect to see a similar effect after the post supposedly pays out. On the other hand, I concede these don't match on the different front ends. Something must be wrong on how the code interprets the Hive-Engine data.

I noticed something like this a while ago and thought it was a coding kind of error but for some time now I haven't noticed it happens in my post with a pimp tag or other people's posts with a pimp tag.

After reviewing your wallet, I see no payouts exceeding 1 PIMP to you. Could it be because you just are not getting the temporary whale votes these days?

It is possible, I only noticed it in the past.

That is a strange way of pimping posts. The huge pimp vote just dissappear before payout, huh?

This five day old post is set to receive $600 worth mostly of PIMP. Watch what happens...
